National People's Power MP Dr. Harini Amarasuriya claims a conspiracy within the Samagi Jana Balawegaya to get their leader Sajith Premadasa into trouble by pushing him for a debate with her party.
Premadasa is without a history of debating matters, and instead is known for his speech-making only, she said at a party event in Trincomalee.
Amarasuriya cast doubts if it is a plot by Ranil Wickremesinghe aided by his loyalists in the SJB against the party leader.
She added that the NPP was prepared for a debate anytime, although both Wickremesinghe and Premadasa resort to evasive tactics.
