United Republic party leader Patali Champika Ranawaka claims to have his own plans to ensure a quality state sector service.
Strengthening the sector by resolving its outstanding issues are essential for nation development, he said.
Raising the efficiency of the state sector workforce could help a growth in productivity.
Their strength was up from 600,000 in 2005 to 1.4 million now, he noted.
An index-based system is suitable to measure the quality of their service, Ranawaka said.
A similar system could be introduced for people’s representatives as well, according to him.
