A traffic policeman has died a day after he was run over by a speeding car at Independence Square Roundabout in Colombo.
Constable Manoj Priyankara’s death early this morning (06) was confirmed by the police post at Colombo National Hospital.
The driver of the errant car is in police custody.
He is a young engineer, whose parents are doctors, with the father formerly attached to the police hospital.
