The Indian high commission in Colombo has rejected claims that Indian companies have taken over visa issuance at the Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake.
The spokesman for the HC said in a statement that the companies referred to in reports and comments including in social media are not India based or Indian and are headquartered elsewhere.
Any reference to India in this context is unwarranted, it said.
