General secretary of Bodu Bala Sena Ven. Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera and several others were found guilty yesterday (11) of charges relating to trespassing a Colombo hotel and disrupting a media conference organised by the Jathika Bala Sena in 2014.
They were ordered to pay a compensation of Rs. 300,000 to the complainant party by Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.
The accused were found guilty of charges including criminal coercion and being members of an unlawful assembly.
The punishments were imposed after lawyers for the accused informed that the defendants would plead guilty in open court.
