Ruling MPs Namal Rajapaksa and Janaka Tissakuttiarachchi now speak and behave as if they are in the opposition, said SJB media spokesman S.M. Marikkar.
Speaking to the media yesterday (29), MP Marikkar referred to the duo’s call for elections.
“If they want an election, they can tell the president, whom they appointed with their 134 votes. Or else, they can tell the finance ministry to approve funds for the election.”
They try to be cardboard heroes on stage, Marikkar charged, adding that Rajapaksa must be thinking that such talk would make the people trust them again.
