JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake says people will be rallied against a proposed hike in water tariffs.
A campaign of protests and awareness events islandwide will take place, he said.
Dissanayake added the medicines issue and the pressure on them economically have adversely affected the people health.
He accused the government of pressurizing the people immensely in its attempts to fulfill conditions laid down by the International Monetary Fund.
