A court order has been issued to the Tamil party TNPF against remembering LTTE members who died at Mullivaikkal.
The Kalmunai magistrate’s court issued the order on 14 May after considering submissions by the OIC of Periyanilavanai police.
He sought an order against remembrances for the proscribed LTTE, saying such could impact civilian life and allow for terrorism to raise its head again.
Based on court injunctions, two porridge distributions in the east had been banned.
The Kalmunai magistrate’s order to four persons says it also applies to the TNPF members too.
