The National Water Board still incurs a two cent loss per litre despite a 50 per cent raise in the tariffs, said state minister Sanath Nishantha.

The cost of production prior to the increase was seven cents per litre, which has been cut by five cents now, he said.

When asked if there will be another increase in tariffs, Nishantha said no such decision has been taken yet.
