The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) will introduce amendments to ensure dividends to members from the EPF introduced in 1958 by T.B. Illangaratne, said party MP Dr. Harsha de Silva.
Speaking to the media, the MP said the economic affairs committee of his party would formulate the amendments.
Among others, the amendments will ensure a specific minimum dividend as well as added interest for their superannuation savings, he said.
Dividends to 2.6 million active EPF accounts out of a total of 19.6 million existing accounts should be ensured proper dividends for the next 15 years, he said.
