Actions by certain SLPP cabinet ministers are detrimental to heads of state institutions and trade union leaders loyal to the party, its general secretary Sagara Kariyawasam has charged.
He raised the matter at a recent meeting of the leaders of government affiliate parties with the president.
Certain ministers had removed the heads of several state bodies appointed on the SLPP’s recommendation, Kariyawasam alleged.
Also, they are harassing the leaders of SLPP affiliate TUs, he went on.
The president, who was urged by the party’s general secretary to intervene in the matter, promised to settle such issues.
