An investigation will take place to determine if any act of sabotage was involved in the dispute over issuance of visas at the Katunayake airport after the task was handed over to a foreign company,
said public security ministry secretary Vianni Gunatilake.
Visa issuance will be handed over again to the said company after resolving the technical issues that have arisen, he said.
The cabinet has approved the handover, claimed Gunatilake.
Minister Tiran Alles and ministry officials are due to hold a briefing for the media on Monday with regard to the matter.
Presently out of the country, Alles returns home tomorrow.
