The Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) will hold a commemorative event to mark the 53rd anniversary of the 1971 youth uprising today (05).
It will be held at the auditorium of the Gampaha administrative complex in Yakkala at 3 p.m.
The keynote speech will be delivered by the education secretary of the FSP, Pubudu Jayagoda.
The FSP has also organised events to mark the anniversary at Matara, Hambantota, Moneragala, Ratnapura, Badulla and Anuradhapura districts.
