The SJB has decided at its working committee to implement an extensive programme to face future elections.
After the WC meeting yesterday (19), its member J.C. Alawathuwala told the media that they now had increasing backing from the public.
At the village level, the SJB is witnessing that those who were with the SLPP and JVP now lending their support to the party, he said.
SJB chairman Sarath Fonseka attended the WC meeting, but did not speak, Alawathuwala also said.
He added that he spoke to Fonseka, who wore a facemask and seemed not well.
