SJB lawmaker Eran Wickramaratne claims himself to be the leading member who has spoken out in parliament against the partiality of speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
Wickramaratne rejected rumours that he has not signed the no-confidence motion against the speaker, noting that he was the 46th signatory to the petition after NPP’s Vijitha Herath.
These rumours are a malicious attempt to show to the public a division in the SJB.
Wickramaratne added that he is yet to receive answers from the speaker to his questions on his violations of the constitution and standing orders.
