Vijitha Herath, Member of Parliament of the National People’s Power, has given a lot of attention on behalf of a large number of people who have become victims of the

Onmax pyramid scheme, which has functioned due to the sluggish measures of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Presenting facts in Parliament yesterday (13), MP Viitha Herath stated that the people’s wealth of Rs. 45000 million had been robbed through the pyramid scheme.

He also emphasized that the government should exert pressure to build a necessary mechanism to implement the orders already given to the board of directors of the relevant company in a judgment.

Mr Herath pointed out that the court’s orders regarding similar rackets committed by financial companies before this were also not properly implemented.
