SJB MP S.M. Marikkar has alleged the government has become a puppet of other countries.
Speaking in parliament, the MP wanted to know the identity of a particular diplomat who spoke against other diplomats from visiting Sri Lanka, as reported by the media.
“The US, China, Britain and India are all the same to us as a country with a nonaligned policy. We cannot allow this country to be a puppet of certain countries,” he said.
Marikkar also referred to the statement issued by ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa against ongoing privatisation.
He urged the government to listen to what Rajapaksa says.
