The Supreme Court’s determination on the antiterrorism bill will be studied and subjected to an extensive dialogue before deciding the course of action, said justice minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.

The SC’s decision as intimated to parliament yesterday (20) says certain of the bill's sections are inconsistent with the constitution.

Some sections should be approved with a special majority and through a referendum.

The bill could be passed by a simple majority if the recommended amendments are accommodated, said the court determination.
