A struggle in the north east for the war-missing has completed seven years.
A march representative of the relatives of those who have disappeared in Kilinochchi, Jaffna, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Mannar took place in Kilinochchi yesterday (20).
K. Kanagaranjani from Kilinochchi charged that three successive government had failed to find the missing despite the war having ended 15 years ago.
Citing the Israel-Palestine conflict as an example, she called for international mediation to seek justice for them too.
The wife of missing journalist Prageeth Ekeneligoda was among the participants.
K. Rajkumar from Vavuniya urged the UN, EU and countries like the US to intervene and ensure justice for the missing.
Protestors charged that even Tamil politicians made no proper intervention on their behalf.
