The cabinet of ministers has granted approval to revise the Public Performance Ordinance No. 7 of 1912,
and direct the legal draftsman to prepare a draft bill including relevant provisions so that a new act named Public Performance Categorization Board can be introduced.
This is pursuant to a joint proposal furnished by the president and the minister of mass media.
A draft has already been formulated by a committee headed by former chairman of the PPB Saman Athaudahetti.
