Two stalwarts of the SLFP have joined the SJB.
They are Homagama organizer and ex-MP Gamini Thilakasiri and former chairman of Kesbewa urban council Gamini Silva.
They met with opposition leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday (16) and extended their support him.
Premadasa also attended a public meeting at Thilakasiri’s home, where he stressed that his party was without family or deal politics.
Any agreement he signs is on the basis of serving the people only, and not on any promise of privileges, said the opposition leader.
He added that the support extended to him by the two ex-SLFP members will be a strength in his journey for the public.
