SLFP chairman Maithripala Sirisena took Indian Airlines flight AI 284 at 2.50 am today (12) to New Delhi on his way to a visit in the US, said the party’s media unit.
According to political sources, the SLFP-led PA will appoint new office-bearers once Sirisena returns home.
Its general secretary at present is Lasantha Alagiyawanna.
