Opening a liquor stall in the future will accompany a mandatory deposit of Rs. 10 million, said finance state minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.
He claimed liquor permits are being issued as per the law, with the new deposit requirement coming into force under the highest-demand RB 4 category.
Issuing the permits will be expanded for the tourism industry, he said, adding that tax burdens on the public would be eased gradually.
