Politicians are blamed over the country's economic bankruptcy, but an official responsible roams freely, says minister Manusha Nanayakkara.

"P.B. Jayasundara was branded the economic assassin over the country's collapse. Wimal Weerawansa started saying that. But, He is OK. Who is in trouble with court cases? Politicians are in trouble. But, that economic assassin faces no trouble," he said at a function in Galle.

Speaking further, Nanayakkara said the country needs more entrepreneurs for its development, citing Korea as an example.

After its economic collapse in 1988-89, Korean people went to the Middle East for jobs. They returned  with the knowledge and the capital required and started productions.

Today, Korea has become a mass industrial haven, he said, adding that Sri Lanka was in the same plight Korea had been 30 years ago.

Nanayakkara also charged that persons with petty political objectives are against Sri Lankan youths' finding jobs in Israel.
