President Ranil Wickremesinghe and his government are unaware of an interim committee for cricket being appointed.
Wickremesinghe told so to ministers this morning (06) after the media reported that sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe has appointed a seven-member interim committee chaired by Arjuna Ranatunga.
No approval has been obtained either for the committee’s membership, it came to light.
Several ministers are planning to raise the matter at this afternoon’s cabinet meeting, said political sources.
