The United Nations has stressed the importance of broad consultations for crucial laws such as the Online Safety Bill.
This was intimated when the UN Resident Coordinator Marc-André Franche met minister of public security Tiran Alles yesterday (01).
Noting that sustainable development and a strong economy for the 21st century as envisioned by Sri Lanka also needs thriving civic space and open internet, Franche said that the UN is ready to support in this regard.
