Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said there is no need for an international investigation into the Easter Sunday attacks if a transparent investigation is conducted.
He said so at the golden jubilee celebration of St. Michael’s Church, Embilipitiya.
An investigation should be conducted with transparency and without any political influence, he said.
If leaders take leadership through honest officials and do not protect each other under political pressure, there is no need for international intervention and all this should be done through transparent methods, he said.
Ven. Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Thera too, was present at the ceremony.
