An intelligence investigation is underway into the assets of all CID officers implicated in the escape bid by underworld leader Nadun Chinthaka alias ‘Harak Kata’, said a senior police official.
Some of them are already facing related accusations, said the official.
Meanwhile, two suspects have been arrested in Weligama, Matara on charges of providing a car to ‘Harak Kata’ to be used as a getaway vehicle.
