Former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa returned last night (09) from a two-week long pilgrimage that took him to Cambodia and Laos.
He arrived at 11.40 pm on board a Singapore Airlines flight.
Incidentally, UNP chairman Wajira Abeywardena too, came from the same flight after undergoing a medical test in Singapore.
The two had discussions prior to boarding the aircraft in Singapore and after disembarking at Katunayake, said a passenger of the same flight.
