Jalani Premadasa, the wife of the opposition leader, has been conferred with an honorary title in recognition of her services to the promotion of Buddhism.
She was given the title ‘Sri Sugatha Sasana Prasadini’ with blessings by the three Buddhist chapters.
It took place at Sri Sudarshanarama Purana Vihara at Kahagolla in Diyatalawa on June 17.
