Former Sri Lanka cricketer Sachithra Senanayake was remanded until 15 September by a Colombo court on a match-fixing charge.
The off-spinner was arrested after he appeared for an inquiry by the special investigation unit of the Sports Ministry.
There, he got arrested for proposing and influencing two other players to fix matches.
Senanayake is reported to have approached two players in the first edition of the Lanka Premier League in 2020, allegedly to entice them to fix matches.
