Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has urged the government to halt offering soft liquor permits as bribes to lure persons politically.
Speaking in parliament yesteday (07), he said it was him who had exposed how opposition MPs supporting the government were getting the permits to the names of others.
An increased issuance of those permits in recent times even to areas where there is no tourism presence is against the no-alcohol policy, he noted.
