Leader of the National People's Power (NPP) Anura Kumara Dissanayake has called for the transfer of political power to the younger generation.
No other party, including the SJB, will put an end the traditional VIP family politics, he told a youth convention of the party in Kurunegala.
Only the NPP has plans to fulfil the aspirations of the youths, Dissanayake stressed, adding that they had an honest intention of creating a better future for them.
"The NPP is without any descendants of political families and has only those who have chosen a path of new political aspirations to change the course of the country," he added.
