President Ranil Wickremesinghe has taken steps to resolve many issues of the northern people amid an economic crisis, said EPDP MP Kulasingham Thileepan.
He accused Wickremesinghe’s predecessors of ignoring the plight of the Tamils after coming to power with promises to ensure justice for them.
Thileepan said those who had shied away from taking over the country two years ago are today levelling various accusations for fear of the president’s development work.
Speaking at a ‘Urumaya’ land deed distribution in Vavuniya, Thileepan said everyone should get together and elect him president again.
