Politicians have double standards with regard to alcohol as they suffer from hunger for power, charged opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
They shamelessly promote alcohol in front of schools and temples, while on political stage they claim to oppose it as they strive for the presidency, premiership and cabinet portfolios, he said.
Premadasa was speaking after donating a smart classroom to Mahadivulwewa National School in Morawewa, Trincomalee yesterday (26).
Premadasa urged not to fall victim to political games that give bad precedents to the young and to think in consideration of children and their future.
