Several political parties and civil society organizations got together to form a nationalist movement called ‘Sarvajana Jana Balaya’ today (27).
Involved in it are the Mawbima Janatha Party, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, National Freedom Front, Democratic Left Front, Communist Party of Sri Lanka, Yuthukama and a forum of independent MPs.
An agreement forming this alliance was signed in Colombo.
This movement is to field a candidate at the next presidential polls.
