MP Wasantha Yapa Bandara has refuted a government claim that it had mediated to save eight Sri Lankan youths from cybercriminals in Myanmar.
The youths had surrendered to police as the criminals were fleeing from their camps, said the MP.
Bandara was making a statement to the House yesterday (01).
He sought permission to have talks with the Thai foreign minister to get the remaining 49 Sri Lankan youths freed.
