Sri Lanka’s president shows sensitivity to the plight of children in Gaza, but turns a blind eye to the children of his own country, alleged MP Dullas Alahapperuma.
Speaking to the media yesterday (06), Alahapperuma said Sri Lankan children have become fatal victims of the economic crisis.
Poverty has denied them education and treatment, left them with malnutrition, but the government pays no attention to them, said the MP.
At the same time, big publicity is given to a fund to be started by the president for children of Gaza, he added.
