The owner of a fake educational institute in Bambalapitiya has been remanded on charges of defrauding more than Rs. 50 million from young job-seekers in Canada.
Mohamed Ismath Hassan, director of Evolve College Education, was out on bail before the fresh remand order was given by Colombo additional magistrate Pasan Amarasena.
He considered submissions made by around 90 victims of the scam.
