Three junior male staffers of parliament accused of sexual harassment were granted bail yesterday (30).
Kaduwela magistrate Chanima Wijebandara ordered them two sureties of Rs. 100,000 each.
The trio stand accused of sexually harassing female housekeepers during 2022, but the allegations surfaced a year later.
The magistrate also ordered the women and children’s bureau of the police to report the progress of investigations.
Meanwhile, secretary general of parliament Kushani Rohanadeera has issued a statement with regard to the arrest of three of her junior staffers.
