The entire country has hopes on the SJB’s presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa, said the party’s Kuliyapitiya electoral organizer Upali Piyasoma.
His victorious campaign was launched from Kuliyapitiya on 20 January, said Piyasoma, a former minister.
All SJB members in the electorate unanimously adopted a proposal that Premadasa is their presidential candidate.
Another proposal was adopted to condemn the death of a youth by a policeman in Narammala and demand action against the culprit.
Piyasoma added, “Now, the entire country’s hope is to see a SJB government and to elect Sajith Premadasa as the president. An extensive national programme would be launched in that regard from Kuliyapitiya today.”
