A 23-year-old university student has died of dengue at Horana Base Hospital.
Hasini Bagya’s death yesterday (16) came 12 days after admission to hospital.
A week later, she was sent for intensive care in an unconscious state.
Tests determined she had contracted the dengue virus and the cause of death is complications due to bleeding.From Poruwadanda, she was a first-year student of Aesthetic University in Colombo.
