The Public Security Ministry says a suspect has been arrested as he prepared to carry out two contract killings.
Said to be an accomplice of the underworld leader known as ‘Heenatiyana Mahesh’, he was taken into custody along with a 9 mm
pistol and bullets.
Katunayake police made the arrest under ‘Yukthiya’ operation.
Under interrogation, he confessed to having received a contract to kill two businessmen, added the ministry.
