A teenage boy from Colombo has been taken into custody for the sexual abuse of a girl younger to him by six years and a relation of his.
The 18-year-old also uploaded the incidents of abuse to Google Drive.
It is the first arrest made upon information provided by Google under its hash matching technology.
Produced before the Colombo magistrate’s court, the suspect was remanded until 01 January.
