he FSP has alleged a move by the government to sell the CEB through a new draft act.

Its education secretary Pubudu Jayagoda, at a media briefing today (08), referred to the gazetted CEB bill.

He refuted its date of gazetting mentioned as 05 December, and said it was made available on the official website of the Government Press only this morning.

Calling it a conspiracy to prevent the bill from being challenged in courts, Jayagoda accused the government of bypassing the judiciary and the legislature in an attempt to get it adopted fraudulently.

Such fraudulent bills should be torn into pieces and MPs who support them sent to the political dustbin, he said.

Referring to the gazetted document, he said the plan is to divide the CEB's functions and sell them to the private sector separately.
