Police are carrying out extensive investigations to expose all those involved in the substandard immunoglobulin scam, said its spokesman Nihal Talduwa.
At a court hearing on 17 November, president’s counsel Kalinga Indatissa, who appears for the accused supplier in remand custody, challenged the CID to arrest the mastermind of the scam, saying he is a member of the cabinet.
Responding to that, SSP Talduwa said the probe would expose all those responsible.
Another key suspect, a top Health Ministry official, is not getting arrested because he is a brother of a powerful minister, it is also alleged.
A foreign travel ban has been imposed on 12 persons, including health secretary Janaka Sri Chandragupta.
