Sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe said he will obtain services of private lawyers in taking action against Sri Lanka Cricket, since he mistrusted the attorney general in the matter.
Speaking in parliament today (10), Ranasinghe said he would go to the supreme of appeal court on Monday to seek justice.
When asked to make a forensic audit the SLC, the AG said that that would be possible only if parliament makes a proposal, he said.
The minister said he could not comprehend the country’s future if anyone tries to protect corrupt officials of the SLC.
Also, elections would be held after dissolving the cricket associations, he said, adding that no institution or individual is free from the influence of the money-throwing SLC.
Ranasinghe was responding to a question raised by opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
