Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasena has ordered Narahenpita police to immediately arrest all suspects in an incident where occupants of a house at Narahenpita reported threats against them.

The court was considering a personal complaint lodged with the court by Malinga Fernando, the managing director of Ascent International Private Company.

The complaint names cricket umpire Kumar Dharmasena, his wife, and directors of Pinnatenna Plantation Private Limited as the accused parties.

Notice was issued for the 12 respondents to appear before the court, and Kumar Dharmasena was absent at the hearing.

On 17 August and on 19 September, complaints were made that Dharmasena and several others bearing firearms had entered the premises, raising concerns about their safety.

However, police have been accused of negligence in dealing with the complaints.
