Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has asked the government to conduct an impartial international investigation into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
With the government concealing the truth behind the attacks, Premadasa said he too, does not know what actually had happened.
He told a meeting of the SJB’s executive committee yesterday (18) that his single-most objective was to find the absolute truth about the attacks without using it for political ends.
There is suspicion that persons with blood in their hands were conspiring to conceal the truth, the opposition leader charged.
He also rejected the appointment of a latest committee of inquiry, saying such committees would only help cover-up the truth.
