A gazette notification will be issued within a fortnight to legalize cannabis cultivation for export purposes only, said state minister Diana Gamage.
Speaking to Neth FM’s ‘Unlimited’ programme, she said this could help earn an annual income of six billion US dollars for the country.
She commented thus when asked if she had other suggestions than a night economy and cannabis to develop tourism.
